General questions
How long will it take me to swap from my current provider?
The transfer generally takes between five and ten working days, but as soon as you sign up with us we take responsibility for your services. You shouldn’t experience any interruption to your service.
When will I receive my first bill?
You’ll receive your invoice on or about the seventh day of each month.
How will I be charged?
We charge monthly line rental and subscription fees in advance. You may also be charged for any calls or internet usage that exceeds your cap (not applicable on all plans) - check your plan's rate card for details.
Why is Direct Debit my only option?
Direct debit is a simple and convenient way to pay your Community Telco bill. Once it’s set up you don’t need to think about it again. However, you can still keep track of how many calls you make and your internet usage through your online account.
I don’t have a computer/internet access – can I still use your service?
Yes. We can send you a paper invoice for a cost of $2 per month, but you won’t be able to keep track of your phone and internet usage during the month, as this is an online service only.
Do you offer Priority Assistance?
No.
Technical questions
Do I need a modem with my new broadband plan?
Some of our plans include a modem and some enable you to bring your own compatible hardware. Please refer to the specific plan's brochure/rate card for further details.
What support will you provide if I bring my own modem?
Modems supplied by Community Telco are fully supported. If you wish to bring your own compatible modem there is only limited support. We will provide you with basic connection settings to manually configure your modems. We will endeavour to:
- Provide or help you find the IP address of the modem interface (necessary to configure your modem)
- Provide the username and password needed to access your broadband service
- Provide the default login of your modem to you
- Provide you with the configuration settings needed to correctly configure your modem for accessing your service.

About the Bendigo Bank Telco Offer
Why is Bendigo Bank offering these services to me?
This offer is available exclusively to Bendigo Bank customers, their family and friends. Just as it did with banking, this is another way for Bendigo Bank to deliver services – in this case phone and internet services – that are good for you and your local community.
My neighbour received this offer – can I access the same offer even if I’m not a Bendigo Bank customer?
Yes, of course. The offer was sent to Bendigo Bank customers because they’re part of our banking community. You’re part of their community of friends and family, so this offer is available to you as well.
I want ADSL/broadband services as well – what can you offer me?
We have a 2-in-1 offer that combines your home phone with fast broadband services for added convenience and value. There’s a brochure that details this offer
here.
I want mobile services – what can you offer me?
Bendigo Bank Telco offers mobile phone services separate from this partnership with Community Telco. To find out more about our mobile phone offers phone 1300 304 541.
When will mobile and ADSL services become available?
ADSL and ADSL2+ services are currently available, either as a standalone service or bundled with a home phone plan. First, we’ll need to confirm whether you can access ADSL2+, which is faster than ADSL, but not currently available in all areas.
We’re planning to launch a mobile offer later in the year. You can keep an eye out for future offers on our website at www.communitytelco.com.au and click on the button that takes you to the exclusive Bendigo Bank customer offers.
I am currently with my local Community Telco company, also part of your group – can I still access this offer?
Your local Community Telco plan also supports your local community – but you are free to switch from your current Community Telco service if you feel it delivers better value.
Existing Bendigo Bank Telco customers
Will these services appear on my existing Bendigo Bank Telco bill?
No, you will receive a separate bill for the services you take up under this offer.
Who do I contact for enquiries or service support?
For any service or billing enquiry related to this offer, phone 1300 098 889.
For your existing Bendigo Bank Telco services (e.g. mobile) phone1300 304 541.
I am a staff member of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Group - is there a discount associated with this offer?
No - This is already a great value offer, but remember a percentage of your account will be directed to supporting community causes.

About Community Telco
Who is Community Telco?
Community Telco is an Australia-wide group of companies providing phone, internet and mobile solutions to businesses and households. We’ve been in the telco industry for many years, so we know what we’re doing. We listen to what our customers want from their telco services and we do our utmost to provide just that. That’s why we’re now a $60 million business and growing.
How is Community Telco related to Bendigo Bank?
Bendigo and Adelaide Bank is a major shareholder in Community Telco Australia. In fact, the Community Telco model was an initiative of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, following the success of its
Community Bank® branches. Like the bank, Community Telco is regionally based but services both regional and metropolitan customers.
How does Community Telco differ from other telco providers?
Community Telco delivers competitive products and services, but differs from other telecommunication companies by returning a portion of profits to the communities in which it operates.
Why should I buy from Community Telco?
Community Telco provides great value telco services that will benefit you and your community. We aim to provide a service that’s second to none, with all of our operations located within Australia – including our call centre.
You are no cheaper than my current provider – why should I change?
Many Bendigo Bank customers feel connected to their bank and the difference they can make just by doing their everyday banking and having some of the profits stay in their local community. At Community Telco, we’re passionate about that, too, so we’ve gone out of our way to build a company and provide great value services for you. When money stays in the community, everyone benefits.
What does Community Telco stand for?
Community Telco provides a competitive alternative in the telco industry, keeping profits in local communities. Our philosophy is underpinned by the belief that successful customers create successful communities that provide for sustainable business opportunities – and that’s good for everyone.
How do communities benefit?
Community Telco does things differently from other telcos. We know that businesses can prosper with community support and communities can prosper with business support.
Community Telco’s local franchise companies support their own local community projects, and with these offers, Community Telco will return up to 30% of the profits we make to local communities through Bendigo Bank’s charitable arm, Community Enterprise Foundation™. You can read more about the foundation on its website at
www.bendigobank.com.au/foundation.
Which communities benefit?
Community Enterprise Foundation™ provides funding for a variety of community initiatives, from youth projects, to aged care and disaster relief. You may be aware of the foundation’s support following the Queensland floods and Black Saturday bushfires. Profits returned to the community from the Bendigo Bank Telco offer will go towards a range of products as proceeds increase over time.
